"John has been an effective voice
for traffic congestion relief and funding of transportation projects. He
is a taxpayer advocate fighting wasteful spending, increased taxes and illegal
immigration. He will be a great State Senator," said Assemblyman
Duvall.
"I am fortunate to have this level of support
from my colleagues. It is
significant. These are the people who
work alongside me day-in and day-out," responded Assemblyman Benoit. "That they choose to endorse me is high
praise, indeed."
Prior to his
election to the Assembly, Benoit served 31 years in law enforcement, the last
17 as the Highway Patrol Commander in the Coachella Valley. He also served on the Desert Sands School
Board. Benoit will replace termed out Senator Jim Battin.
