Jeff Miller's Tenure As Chairman Provides Resources and Recognition

Last post about stuff that happened at Thursday night's RPRC Central Committee - I promise. I just thought it was worth noting that a politician actully kept a campaign promise and I wanted to highlight a great Republican volunteer, Tom Barrett, who is retiring from the Central Committee.
When Jeff Miller campaigned for Riverside County Republican Chairman in late 2005 he made a great campaign speech where he promised to provide resources and recognition for our party members. He wanted to raise us some money so we could be more effective as a Central Committee and he wanted to recognize some of the tireless volunteers on our committee who don't always get the credit they deserve.
Well in Jeff Miller's two years as Chairman, all of 2006 and 2007, he did a great job of doing both and did not loose focus on that pledge even as he turned over his position.
Pictured above is Miller recognizing long time GOP activist Tom Barrett who is stepping down from Central Committee to spend more time on other personal interests (which to me sounds like code for "he want his free time back.")
Barrett has worked on campaigns for Dole, Simon, Jones, Arnold, Bush and many others. He is a member of the Riverside County Lincoln Club and a great supporter of the Corona-Norco RWF. I had the privledge of working with Tom on several campaigns, most recently on Phil Breitenbucher's bid for Corona City Council.
Tom will be missed as will Miller's leadership.
Also, if any of our Red County Riverside readers missed it, Miller got a big boost this week when, "popular Mission Viejo Councilman John Paul Ledesma announced that he is ending his campaign for the State Assembly in the 71st district. Ledesma immediately endorsed Republican Jeff Miller."
