Dutton Says Eliminate Budget Deficit By Cutting Waste, Fraud and Benefits for Illegals

Senator Bob Dutton had some suggestions for closing the state's $14 billion dollar deficit in an editorial last week in the Press-Enterprise. He had some great ideas for where to begin cutting that do not involve shutting down state parks or the Washington Monument.
Besides suggesting that we begin by, "examining the billions of tax dollars spent each year to support those who are in this country illegally," he also pointed out that, "...just 1 percent less in fraud, waste and abuse equates to $1 billion in general-fund savings!"
Sounds better than releasing 22,000 prisoners, but it doesn't really scare you into supporting a tax increase either. Not that the Governor is trying to do that...
