Hal Fishman, the multi-award-winning KTLA-TV Channel
5 news anchor who was a Los Angeles broadcasting fixture for nearly 50 years,
died today, the station announced this morning. He was 75.
Calvert
to run for ninth term in House of Representatives -- P-E
Rep. Ken Calvert announced
on Monday that he plans to seek a ninth term in the House of Representatives.

suspect in Soboba Casino heist captured -- P-E, The

The suspected mastermind of
last week's heist of a reported $1.5 million from Soboba Casino was arrested
near Los Angeles International Airport wearing a wig, carrying a passport and
"trying to go out in style" on a cocaine high, Riverside County
sheriff's officials said Monday.
New
voting system could cost $6 million -- The Californian
New state mandates for
February's presidential primary election will prompt Riverside County either to
