WHO PAID FOR MYSTERY POLLING LAST WEEK IN THE 2^ND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT?

The Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee, Representative Henry Waxman on Monday predicted that a controversial climate change bill will be approved by that panel. The problem is no one has even taken time to read the monster and they intend to shove this one through the House of Representatives BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY!

This brings up the serious matter of how Representative Rick Larsen of the Second Congressional District will vote on the bill on the floor of the House of Representatives. Why? Because there is serious opposition in his District against the Cap and Trade, Tax and Steal, Gore and Con or whatever you want to call this Global Warming/Climate Change massive tax increase. In order to make the bill for palatable they have tried to do things like GIVE AWAY emission permissions for companies to discharge the hated Carbon Dioxide. Smiling about it Waxman last week said that this was only temporary and that later on companies MOSTLY ENERGY ELECTRICAL GENERATING ENTITIES will have to pay billions to the Federal Government to discharge CO2!

In the meantime Al Gore is lobbying like mad to get the thing passed because he controls a 2.2 BILLION DOLLAR CAP AND TRADE FUND. Gore potentially could become a billionaire on a program that analysts have found will end up costing the average Snohomish County family about $3,600 per year on top of the taxes they pay anyway. This time there is no lower limits on taxes such as with the Federal Income Tax, this TAX will be paid by EVERYONE! The National Taxpayer’s Union even has a new website up for folks to contact their member of Congress to fight this monster.

On top of the controversial nature of the Climate bill it is also one of the biggest pork bills in the history of the US Congress.

Rumors are that there are a least one Democrat and 2 Republican challengers waiting in the wings to see how Larsen votes on this Global Warming nonsense and the massive Socialized Medicine proposals before Congress. Polling all last week found Larsen’s poll numbers are the lowest since he first ran for his seat, primarily because of his vote for the bailouts.   

By way of explanation, Larsen voted yes at every stage on the major BAILOUT legislation in Congress despite literally receiving thousands of e-mails from his constituents asking him to vote no! His name was taken in vain at the Monroe Tea Party, not good news politically for Larsen.

I have information about which polling organization DID the polling last week and some of their results, but the name of the politician who paid for it is being closely held and confidential.

Next year’s Congressional race in the 2^nd District is going to be very entertaining. One question: is Aaron Reardon going to run against Larsen? If he does that means that the Republican candidate could be bounced out of the General Election because of the top 2 primary! Wow! Two Democrats at each others throats running in the General Election in November of 2010 for that seat!
