Virginia:

Polls are now closed in Virginia, home to the night's first key race (Governor). Fox News has just called this race for the Republican, Bob McDonnell, who was widely expected to prevail.

New Jersey:

*** GOP scores a major victory as Chris Christie defeats incumbent Governor Jon Corzine. With 97% of the precincts reporting, Christie is up 49% to 44%. Governor Corzine has just conceded the election.
