He's very hard to get hold of today, as you might imagine, but South Carolina Congressman, Joe Wilson, found a few spare minutes to call in for a quick chat with Red County late Thursday.

Sure, he apologized for the "You lie!" outburst which has gotten him so much heat, but was the content of his message wrong? Click the play button icon below to hear what Wilson himself has to say in this short conversation:

After listening, consider helping out at www.joewilsonforcongress.com. Democrats have reportedly raised nearly $500,000 already for his opponent in next year's election, with last night's outburst as their wedge. Beat back that challenge by contributing to Wilson's race. It's important to make sure his opponent remains where Congressional Democrats nationwide will be next year-- on the defensive!

 Joe's my hero!!! Wow, first

 Joe's my hero!!!

Wow, first I was called a Nazi, then Astroturf and now a loooonatic! So let me get this right, you guys can call us names, just don’t return fire-that pretty much sums up your rules!

You personally attack Joe Wilson and us citizens, but you never defended Obama's statement. You can't defend a lie.

Hey Anonymous, I’ll bet you 5 bucks your generation ends in 2010?

The Real Problem

The real problem as I see it is not what Joe Wilson did, but what the other Republicans in Congess did not do.  The entire Republican delegation should have been on their feet shouting "You Lie" to Obama.  Instead the Republicans sat on their hands, looked shocked and continued to play footsie across the aisle with the Democrats.  Meanwhile, America heads down the tube.

These professional incompetents are are so entrenched in their ways that they let "tradition" overule common sense.  Obama and his pack need to be verbally challenged every time they open their mouth with their smooth talk trying to sell more  "snake oil."  The lines have been drawn in the sand and the Democrats have stepped way over them.

Wrong Moment but Can't blame him

I'm glad I can sit at home and yell in my living room.  Joe is right to apologize for the moment but he's right and I can get behind the frustration and the passion. It was completely partisan to address Congress for such a self serving bill that is not meant to improve health care but simply grow government while it protects union health care plans and looks to unionize health care workers. ( see WSJ on Sept 10th)

Go Joe

Finally a Republican with some "juevos" to call-out the smooth talking car

saleman. What happened to the measures that were to be enacted to verify

citizenship? Voted down by the Dems. Why? Because they want to cover illegals.

As for Joe's outburst, has everyone forgot how the Dems treated Bush when

he spoke? They boo like little brats and call him worse names than liar.

Where is the reverence and protocol there?
