Religious Groups Host "A Night of Faith"

How utterly absurd of the House on Campus and Hillel to host an interfaith dialog with the Muslim Student Union, a group that has invited defrocked scholars to campus and has written themselves off the intellectual reservation.
If however this is an attempt at reconciliation, don't get your hopes up, as the establishment of moral equivalencies in academic discourse only serves as leveling mechanism between thoughtful deliberation and reckless intolerance. If you don't believe me, don't come crying to me when genocidal maniacs Amir Adel Malik Ali and Mohammad al-Asi make violent overtures for the destruction of Israel and America next year.
Here is how the postcard reads (I'll post as soon as I get hold of a scanner or if someone sends me the jpeg):

A Night of Faith
Thursday, June 5, 2008, 7pm-9pm
Crystal Cove Auditorium, UC Irvine
'A Night of Faith' is a one of a kind opportunity. This event will allow members of different faiths to express their viewers in a welcoming and friendly environment. Audience members will have the unique opportunity to hear from three of the world's major religions side by side. Following the event there will be booths set up where audience members may acquire literature, as well as converse with members of different faiths. 'A Night of Faith' is sure to be 'A Night to Remember." This event is open to all.

This is a mockery of religion if their ever was one.
I'm sure Mr X will be there to explain his beliefs as well. Sorry I'll miss it. Seriously though, these little Kumbayah sessions have been held in the past and don't accomplish anything. If UCI wanted to do something constructive they could tell the Malik Alis and Al-Asis that their messages of hate are not welcome on this campus. They could tell the little thugs in MSU to straighten up or they can go study eleswhere.
I won't hold my breath.
