Day 4 - Anna Baltzer's Naivety

Academic fraud isn't the only problem with the MSU at UC Irvine. When the MSU isn't showcasing disgraced academics like Ilan Pappe or Norman Finkelstein, they offer the podium to young so called civil rights activists, who double shift as terror sympathizers. Anna Baltzer is no exception.
Watch the video, disturbingly amusing (and perplexing) are her answers regarding the boycott of products and services supportive of Israel. See what you can make out of her explanation regarding the sacrifice of text messaging and the applause line that follows:

And don't be fooled by her supposed advocacy of a peaceful Palestinian resistance. In a recent blog post, she compared the employment of terror tactics as a necessity that will be judged more favorably once the jihadists establish political legitimacy. After all she argues ,even Martin Luther King, Jr. was viewed as a radical in his time:
Some might call blowing up a wall "extreme." In fact, just about any action taken unilaterally for Palestinian liberation is portrayed as such. Martin Luther King was also called an "extremist," and eventually embraced the word, calling on others to join him in creative extremism. Criticism of the status quo will always be dismissed as ideological or extreme, and that's what makes challenging power structures so uncomfortable. We would prefer to affect change through consensus and the blessing of communities that have traditionally supported the status quo, like mainstream Jewish temples and US legislators. But, my friends, this is unrealistic; these groups will hopefully become a part of the movement someday, but they will not lead the movement today. And while it would be nice to wait until a day when it feels more convenient, remember that change will never be convenient for those who are profiting off of the way things are. Let us not forget that Palestinians, like people of color in Dr King's time (and still today), have not had the luxury waiting and choosing a convenient time... Indeed, there is no convenient time. But inconvenience and discomfort are a small price to pay for justice. Remember that prophets have always been scorned in their own time.
She's naive and ignorant. But then most of her generation is. What she needs is a true awakening. Just wait until her "nice" Muslim friends pressure her to become Muslim, follow Shar'ia or she marries one of them and her new hubby tells her that he can beat, rape and kill her if she doesn't obey him.
I bet her parents are real proud of her. I wonder if her grandparents are survivors. Would they be proud of her too?
Baltzer is not just naive. She is stupid.
She cares about Palestinians who bring ALL of their suffering upon themselves. She wants integration and believes in a "one state solution" where Jews are a minority.
Does Baltzer care about Middle Eastern Jews who had a presence in that part of the world thousands of years before the rise of Islam?
Up to one million Jews were ethnically cleansed and driven out of their homes in the "Arab world."
People who hate Israel and Jews forget that Israel was established by the UN in parts of what was once the Turkish empire. Much of what today is Israel was inhabitable land ridden with disease. Most of the "Palestinians" came from Jordan and Egypt after the establishment of the country. Israel doesn't even encompass 1% of the Middle East. Islamic countries, if they really cared, could allow the "Palestinians" into their countries and solve the entire "refugee" problem (which Muslim countries are largely responsible for).
Will Baltzer go on tour to address the plight of Middle Eastern Jews who were ethnically cleansed?
Or do her abilities as a concerned humanitarian only extend to Palestinians who kill Israelis in the name of their Allah and in response to the "occupation."
Still Anna and any other woman would fare better as a Muslim than a Jew.
I mean Islam affording women a slightly lower position than men is way, way better than Judaism relagating women as the property of their fathers or husbands.

Muslim (8:3252) - Muhammad clearly allowed his men to use temporary marriage as a sanctioned form of prostitution.
Bukhari (72:715) - A woman came to Muhammad and begged her to stop her husband from beating her. Her skin was bruised so badly that she it is described as being "greener" than the green veil she was wearing. Muhammad did not admonish her husband, but instead ordered her to return to him and submit to his sexual desires.
Muslim (4:2127) - Muhammad struck his favorite wife, Aisha, in the chest one evening when she left the house without his permission. Aisha narrates, "He struck me on the chest which caused me pain."
Abu Dawud (2141) - "Iyas bin ‘Abd Allah bin Abi Dhubab reported the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do not beat Allah’s handmaidens, but when ‘Umar came to the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) and said: Women have become emboldened towards their husbands, he (the Prophet) gave permission to beat them. Then many women came round the family of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) complaining against their husbands. So the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said : Many women have gone round Muhammad’s family complaining against their husbands. They are not the best among you." At first, Muhammad forbade men from beating their wives, but he rescinded this once it was reported that women were becoming emboldened toward their husbands. Beatings are sometimes necessary to keep women in their place.
Abu Dawud (2142) - "The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife."
Ishaq 969 - Commands that a married woman be "put in a separate room and beaten lightly" if she "act in a sexual manner toward others." According to the Hadith, this can be for an offense as petty as merely being alone with a man to whom she is not related.

Judaism relagates a woman as the property of her male relatives. Islam affords women atleast some independence.
Judaism states that man who rapes a woman must marry her. Islam demands death for the rapist.

You spliced sentences together and numbered sections of Deuteronomy. In other words... you're lying.

You can read the Deuteronomy in it's full context above. In ancient Judaism, if a woman is raped, her rapist is put to death. See section 25 of the link above. Only if a woman does not try to break free of a rapist does it say that she could be implicated to (the message being that she did not fight of her rapist and it wasn't rape). If a married woman cheats on her spouse, she and her lover are put to death.
In section 28 and 29 it clearly says that if a woman who was a virgin has sex out of wedlock than the man who dishonored her had to marry her/pay dowry. You said that a man has to marry or pay dowry to a woman he raped. Apparently you can't read. That section of Deuteronomy talks of consensual sex between a man and a woman! A man cannot dishonor a woman in Judaism.
Also, today there is a court system in place and people are no longer stoned or put to death. But rape is prohibited in ancient Jewish law. Under no sect of Judaism can a man take more than one wife today.

Now that the details of the prisoner swap between Israel and the Palestinians have been made public, the exchange should provide an education for those in the West who think the Palestinians are the "good guys". (To those of you in the MSU at UCI, here is some food for thought.)
Basically, Israel exchanged 5 prisoners for the bodies of two Israeli soldiers, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, who had been abducted two years ago. The soldiers, plus one other, who is still held by Hezbollah (if not already killed), had became a cause celeb among Israelis, who had prayed with their families for their safe return. Instead, what Israel received were two coffins containing the bodies of the soldiers-who, it is believed, were captured alive.
How cynical, how sadistic of Hezbollah.
Meanwhile, who did Israel release to the Palestinians? Most notable was Samir Kantar, a Lebanese who had been imprisoned for the 1979 murder of an Israeli family, in which the father was killed before the eyes of his 4-year-old daughter, subsequent to which, Kantar killed the girl by smashing her skull with a rifle butt.
None of which matters to the Palestinian public which has greeted this animal's release with celebrations and a red carpet welcome home.
Leaving aside the question of why Israel should engage in these prisoner exchanges, which seem to invite more kidnappings, this should highlight the evil of Hezbollah and the mis-directed sympathies of Palestinians. If this animal, Kantar, is a hero to the Palestinian populace, what does that say about the Palestinians? Is this what you support and demonstrate for MSU?

For several decades, the Palestinians have hitched their wagon to hijackers, terrorists, torturers and other assorted murderers to further their cause. They have applauded the Munich Olympic massacre of 1972, the highjackings, the Achille Lauro, and yes-9-11.
Those who sympathize with the Palestinians or see shades of gray in this conflict, should pay close attention to this latest "exchange", in which Israelis exchange imprisoned murderers for the bodies of their dead soldiers and citizens.

Israel exchanged prisoners/bodies with Hezbollah, not the Palestinians.
A little Mid-East 101 might help.
Hezbollah is an Islamic group in Lebanon, that finds its support among the Shia Lebanese plurality. Hezbollah has a political wing, a social services wing, and an armed militia of freedom fighters. Hezbollah was orginally founded to drive out the Zionazi invaders from Lebanon, and still continues to fight the good fight to this day (Israel still occupies the Sheeba Farms).
And I dont really see any shades of gray in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
I concede the Palestinians are not going to be sending men to the moon or finding the cure for cancer anytime soon, but in the conflict they are the victims. The Palestinian cause is the righteous cause. The Palestinian claim to the Holy Land is one of truth, morality, and justice. The Jewish claim is one of colonialism, theft, and deciet.
