This week Rich discusses President Obama's UN speech where he promotes the elimination of all nuclear weapons, a concept called "naive" by the President of France, Nicholas Sarkozy. Rich points out that since the beginning of the Cold War the United States has prevented a nuclear conflict via a policy of Mutually Assured Destruction (M.A.D.). The Russians knew that if they invaded Europe a trip wire would be sprung and we would pull the nuclear trigger. That policy no longer works today with rogue nations such as North Korea and Iran have nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them.
