This past Sunday's Marysville Appeal-Democrat had a good round-up of the potential replacements for Dan Logue on the Yuba County Board of Supervisors.

With the news in this article that businessman and former Supervisor Brett Hastey was submitting his name for consideration, the number of candidates is at least five.  As the article reports:

Hastey joins John Black, Katy Ertmer, Andy Vasquez and former Supervisor Joan Saunders as applicants.

Of course, this is not a special election issue.  The Governor appoints vacant County Supervisor positions in most rural counties.  In a few more urbanized counties in the state which have county charters and have adopted a local ordinance, the voters get to select replacement Supervisors in special elections.  But in Yuba, it's up to the Governator.

Any speculation on whether any of these five have an inside track?
