Supervisor Candidate Montgomery in Her Own Words - Decries Republicans and Supports Charlie Brown
Posted by: Aaron Park | 10/07/2008 7:51 AM
This is the lastest installment of Charlie Brown's House of Pain - brought to you by Aaron F. Park, Proprietor.
Recently at a debate with Bruce Kranz, Jennifer Montgomery was a little uneasy when confronted with the facts. She indicated that she was not endorsing anyone for Congress.
I guess Charlie Brown is getting thrown under the bus in 2008 - like he did to Cindy Sheehan and Steven Pearcy in 2006. This time, it is a Supervisor Candidate whose campaign is floundering and she is trying to save her own skin.
I guess the 10/30/2006 article in the Sierra Sun (Ironically, the same day as the Pearcy Betrayal article in the Sacramento Bee), was indicitave of different times:
Who's calling?I was getting really annoyed at the "robocalls" that began "Here is some information about Charlie Brown." So I called the campaign to complain and guess what: they told me those calls weren't from the Brown campaign.
So when I got the next "robocall" I listened all the way to the end of the pre-recorded phone message and the callers finally identified themselves as the National Republican Congressional Committee -- not the Charlie Brown for Congress campaign.
Now the Brown campaign does say that they have made one (yes, that's right, one) "robocall" in the last three weeks and that was Tuesday, Oct. 24. So don't be angry at Charlie or the Brown campaign -- those dirty calls are funded by the GOP and they are trying to make you mad enough at Charlie that you won't vote for him. Don't fall for these GOP dirty tricks.
Call the NRCC at (202) 479-7000 and ask to be taken off their "robocall" list. And vote for Charlie Brown on Nov. 7.Jennifer Montgomery

Jennifer Montgomery in her own words - Charlie, that's gotta hurt. If only Lollypopadopolous could have gotten to Montgomery.

WHAT THE DEVIL HAS GOTTEN INTO TOM McCLINTOCK???
Mind you, I am not a prude. I leave prudery to the Calvinists who have this morbid fear that someone somewhere is having fun.
However Tom McClintock panders to those who like to morally legislate against homosexuality and abortion. Yet he has completed the trifecta, legalized marijuana, legalized gambling, and now legalized sex for pay. The latter did not seem kosher to his colleagues down in Sacramento, but it seemed to fit in with his libertarian philosophy.
Specifically he voted against taking sex out of massage parlors.
“California State Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks, ( Elk Grove, CA-04 wherever) voted against the bill. McClintock was unavailable for questions from The Signal and his staff declined comment.”
http://www.the-signal.com/news/article/4581/
His “staff [who] declined comment was Bill “Mumbles” George.
I think he was in a hurry to get a massage….

Now this is research worthy of Brown's all-stars!
Did they finally let lollypopadopolous do some research from his Castro Street Bistro?
THE SUPERSTAR REGAINS FORM

Leehog! Plenty more pain for Colonel Klink is in store...
BTW - I am going through story withdrawals... something esoteric from Indiana would be right on target.
Or maybe you could tell me about the babies you kissed and the flowers tossed at you when you came home from the service.
The Fresno Airport is a far cry from the celebration in honor of the Leehog.
SUPERSTAR IS GETTING INTO REALLY FINE FORM
Aaron be the pain meister. That was how he was billed this past weekend...

I wonder why Montgomery wouldn't endorse Charlie Brown? Sinking campaign? Increasingly visible liberal beliefs that don't sync with the voters? Like, for example, the bailout, which is one of the worst things our federal government has done in years, in my personal opinion, and Brown supports it?
What's that saying about victory having a thousand fathers? My guess is Lt. Col Brown is already finding himself an orphan.
I should've stopped learning about this race when I first started. I would've preferred the ignorance-is-bliss approach of liking Charlie Brown and Tom McClintock at the same time.

YESTERDAY ONCE AGAIN
Aaron "Fatso Judson" Park became a problem for the Navy. A MAA with a baton who didn't fill the bill as outlined by the Navy
"An ideal candidate for the position of Navy Military Police Officer you should be a person of high morals, and someone that has not been convicted of a criminal offense. You should be mature, open-minded and be able to handle yourself responsibly. You should be level headed and a person that works as a member of a team well."
Past is prologue...

Yes, why indeed did McClintock vote against a bill to clean up the massage industry that was supported by so many others in his party? Tom was only one of seven--all Republicans--who voted against the bill in the Senate. In the larger Assembly only seven members voted "NO". Could there be a personal motive in this? Shades of Eliot Spitzer! :)
Gambling (AB 1738, 2007), de facto prostitution (SB 731, 2008) and pot (SB 535, 1997). Tom is almost the "perfect" Libertarian. I wonder what John has to say about all this? Gambling, prostitution and drugs are small prices to pay for a marriage limitation amendment, huh, John?
And where, pray tell, does Tom stand on the telling issue of rock and roll? Is he for or against the Sex Pistols?
Yes, this is all pretty bad news for a candidate who is trying to appeal to conservative Christians. They have so MUCH to learn about Tom! Do they know that Tom voted against a bill to make it a misdemeanor to keep dogs chained up all day? Tom hates dogs, too. Is there no end to his badness?

SB 731
PURPOSE
This legislation would professionalize and protect the field of “Massage Therapy” by creating a statewide process for certification and licensing. The process would require a specified number of educational and experience hours.
BACKGROUND
The field of massage is regulated by a patchwork of local city and county regulations and requirements. Many individuals, schooled and certified by their educational facility, who wish to practice massage and travel from one city to another are required to meet multiple city licensing requirements. There is no statewide regulatory framework, no insurance or bonding requirements and no real protection for the clients against injury. Additionally, there is no safety for the practitioner against an unjust view by some individuals who believe massage is an entrance in to the sex field.
This bill creates a non-profit regulatory framework paid for and supported by massage therapists to phase in educational and practice requirements in order to receive a certification. The bill eliminates the need for local jurisdictions to develop and enforce their own disparate requirements for the practice of massage.
The bill deals only with education and certification and does not define scope issues.

Leehog - If that is all you have, you'd better go get a few more of your friends to make it fair.
"Bob" - Why aren't any of those organizations you listed now supporting Charlie Brown? Is that because they know Charlie Brown is not ready to lead?
You see - you can not talk about the current financial crisis. Why? Charlie Brown has no applicable experience and no gravitas. (I just used one of your own MSM terms so you'd recognize the argument) Heck, if he has to get boxed in before admitting support for Obambi - why should people expect any leadership out of him regarding our economy?
But that is just another scourlous attack against a man who served in effigy.
BOTTON LINE
You raised beau coup money for Charlie. I couldn't have done that. It took you.
We appreciate your help.
Stick around and just stay in your Fatso Judson form.
God Bless and take care...

SWEET!!! Let me know how much, and is there some sort of Aaron Park hate donation page on the wesbite?
Does it say: Click here to zap right-wing blogger Aaron Park with the peace and love gun?
Hang him in effigy, donate here? Don't let Christians run our government, donate here?
What's the appeal? I am curious?
McCLINTOCK ONE-STOP VICE EMPORIUM
Tom McClintock sounded optimistic despite the most recent set-back in the California State Legislature nixing the third and most important piece of his planned one-stop vice emporiums.
He says that his business plan still makes sense in today's economic environment. "Why chase all over town for sex, a high, and a little black jack and slots action."
McClintock is a de-regulation icon in California. His ongoing stance on keeping vice unregulated is consistent with fighting regulation of financial institutions. "When an entrepreneur wants to start a business, government should just stay out of the way"

There have been a ton of posts on this one, but hardly a word about the fact that this is yet another move by government to regulate each and every aspect of our lives!
Bob or Lee, is there ANY area of life that you do not think the government should not be involved other than the killing of the unborn?
How about a bill to establish of "Board of Accountability" for any congressional campaign that sets up a charity donation program to insure that the money donated only goes to worthy causes? Without such an agency how will we know if Charlie is giving that money to the right groups?
Would you all vote for such a bill or join those seven lonely Republicans who still think our constitutional rights are worth something in this state in voting against it?
John
PS: Just so the record is straight, the government does have a role to play to enforce contracts and prevent fraud: Tell the truth and keep your promises as Senator McClintock likes to say.
So if I walk into some massage parlor and they have a diploma on the wall for the masseuse and I later find out they NEVER attended any school, I should be able to sue them for triple damages on any charges they collected. That is how you get real enforcement!
This discussion did wander a little far afield, so I did want to thank Ms. Montgomery for this update and let her know that I called the NRCC and thanked them for making such informative calls and encouraged them to keep up the good work!

REGULATION IS UNAMERICAN
That is a hard sell to normal people who have trusted that that governmant has made sure that greedy sharpies are as closely watched as predatory gangbangers who watch folks taking money out of an ATM.
Why should gangbangers be more closely watched than someone who wears a Seville Row suit?
Lee Reed
Lee,
This has been my point all along: They should not! When a poor kid from my neighborhood steals a hundred dollars he goes to jail and he has a record that ruins his life. The Wall Street gang uses the VERY government regulations you support to argue that walking away with millions or billions is NOT stealing and usually does not face jail time if it is determined that some rules were broken.
We would be a LOT better off if both cases were handled by the Bible's just system of restitution: Whether you steal a $29 VCR or a million dollars from grandma's pension fund, you have to pay the owner back triple what was taken. The poor kid could learn some good life lessons as he takes responsibility for paying off his debt and then have a clean record. At the same time the rich man would probably spend the rest of his days in the poor house trying to pay off his debts. This would only have to happen to a few of these guys before we saw a whole lot my "corporate responsibility" in this country.
What say all ye who keep demanding 'fairness?'
John
