The Sacramento Bee has an Ad Watch up McClintock's new TV ad attacking Charlie Brown for his attendance at a 2005 anti-war rally:
Tom McClintock is going after Democratic candidate Charlie Brown in a television advertisement blasting Brown for standing with "anti-war radicals" who erected a provocative display in 2005 depicting a dead U.S. soldier.Read the whole Ad Watch here.
The ad starts with Deborah Johns, the Roseville mother of an Iraq war veteran who has become a leading national activist in support of the Bush administration's policy in the war in Iraq.
The camera cuts from Johns sitting with a photo of her son to the image of a hanging soldier's uniform. Bearing a sign - "Bush lied, I died" - it was displayed on the house of a Sacramento anti-war activist, Stephen Pearcy. The ad shows Brown wearing a camouflage jacket at a gathering there.

So nice to see the Bee trying to help Brown.
They'd have done the same thing to Ose, had he put this ad up... at least the Bee is consistent.
Looks like even the Bee agrees that Charlie attended the rally and was in uniform... Game over for a candidate whose entire message was aimed at veterans I would think.
