My Offer to Brown Team: Make a Statement on Campaign Stationery and I will Release a Copy of My DD214
Posted by: Aaron Park | 08/26/2008 9:49 AM
Update - It is my DD214 the Brown campaign is asking for. Yet, they are asking for McClintock, Devereux or Feliz to release it. That would be a felony without my consent. The fact that Mr. Reed, a Brown supporter mentions the name Feliz indicates an level of campaign knowledge that is uncommon. This is day 3 in the Effigy Watch - I will continue to call on the Brown team to either confirm or deny Charlie's anti-war activities, then Mr. Reed can have a copy of my DD214.
The Brown team wants to play a game of DD214 comparison. They have implied that unless you are a LT. Col or equivalent that you can not criticize Charlie Brown.
This is a smokescreen for my real issue with Brown - I know Charlie to be a ferverent anti-war activist until late in the 2006 campaign cycle when he adandoned Steven Pearcy and Cindy Sheehan.
The Brown team is seeking to deflect criticism from Brown's anti-American and anti-War activism by pointing at my service record.
So - let's kill two birds with one stone. Charlie needs to issue a denial or take ownership of his membership in Code Pink and his participation in anti-war activities. I am calling on the campaign to deliver to my office a letter on Brown for Congress stationery from the Brown campaign with and affirmation of Brown's patriotism and either a flat denial or a clear affirmation of Brown's anti-war activities including a clear unambiguous answer as to weather Brown stood with the soldier hung in effigy.
Once received, I will disclose my DD214.
One of the things I base my criticism of Charlie Brown on is this following article that the Sacramento Bee pritned in October of 2006 (even though this article could have assisted Doolittle's narrow victory):
"Anti-war activist Stephen Pearcy, who gained attention from his Sacramento home in February when he hung a human-shaped form dressed in a military uniform and adorned it with anti-war messages, charged that the retired Air Force officer is distancing himself from the protesters who had come to regard Brown as one of them.
"He's back-pedaling," said Pearcy in an interview. "He was initially holding himself out as an anti-war candidate, someone who vehemently opposed the war and supported immediate withdrawal. Now I am not so sure he supports that ... This is an example of the kind of Democrats we've had who have acted basically in a spineless manner."
Pearcy said the Roseville Democrat had appeared at his house in February when his dangling protest symbol was generating crowds of pro-war activists. Pearcy said Brown was dressed in his Air Force uniform to show his solidarity with him and his wife."

Charlie - it is time to man up. Did you stand with the soldier hung in effigy?

Aaron
You are getting a little grandiose around the edges. Did Stan or John Feliz die and you ascend into their position(s)?
My proposal was to Devereux, Feliz, or McClintock. It was very specific.
You already did your masterpiece which needs wider dissemination and I am quite willing to pay for the mailing of it. Now you are entering into territory way beyond your pay grade.
Now you can go back to your usual Ed Norton sewer position...
Sounds like another John Kerry flip-flopper to me... Bu hey Charlie, anything to get votes right?
Ladies and Gentlemen
As Ronald Reagan would say with a sigh...
THERE YOU GO AGAIN...

Let's set the record straight. I am a concerned voter of CA-04. I receive absolutely any compensation monetary, in kind, or promises of special favors or access in the future from the Brown Team. I did not have any consultation with the Brown team regarding this following comment which Aaron has inflated into his headline:
Lee Reed said:
THE SWITCH HITTER
I live in Sun City Roseville. SCR is heavily laden with The Greatest Generation. SCR is heavily Republican. There 3500 homes in SCR.
This is what I would like to do for Tom McClintock.
I want to distribute the above post authored by Aaron Park who is by Tom's own words, his chief Internet warrior. I would like for Tom to have the above post printed in flyer form in its entirety, every electron of it.
Tom would of course want our Greatest Generation laden community know of Aaron Park's bone fides as a veteran himself. Our community does not cotton to swindlers and con men who would want to get over on us.
We are an affluent community. This affluence was acquired the old fashioned way, damned hard work. And we don’t foolishly give some of it away to swindlers and con men.
Therefore I would want Tom to provide me a copy of Aaron Park's DD214 with a cover letter outlining Mr. Park's vita. If I am going to be a party to trying to sell something to my fellow SCR residents, I would want to be covered by some solid bone fides.
I would be willing to foot the bill for this mailing. As I have said previously, I have not contributed one penny to Lt. Col.(ret) Charlie Brown's campaign this election cycle. I had been holding off on that.
I would mail to every household, including registered Democrats. I would want Aaron Park to have a fair chance to sell them too. I, to be totally honest, would wean out those who I know it would be a waste of money.
I know the cost is far beyond what I have ever contributed to a political campaign. It is very substantial money compared to what I spend on other matters.
Only serious replies from the Tom McClintock campaign are welcome.
Yours in Duty, Honor, Country
Lee Reed

This was totally on my own accord. And to set the record straight, 9 hours have passed without any serous reply from the McClintock campaign.
I am a concerned voter who is sick and tired of Mr. Park trying to swift-boat Charlie Brown. I did not have the backing of the Brown Team. I put my own self on the line, personally and financially. I did this with some hesitation. It was not an easy decision. I showed it to my wife before posting. Because this involves her too, her standing in this community.
The McClintock Team has foolishly put Aaron Park as their point person on the internet. He flails around with incessant postings filled with innuendo but not facts. Aaron Park has virtually no credibility in the Roseville-Rocklin area.
No one of stature in area Republican circles comes to his aide. Flint, Campbell, Klang do not support Mr. Park in his flailing around. In fact, Mark Klang totally destroyed Mr. Parks innuendo about Charlie Brown not "making bird".
It speaks volumes about who a candidate chooses to surround himself with. Aaron Park spends more time in the sewer than Ed Norton. I do not think Abe Lincoln had an "Aaron Park"
Lee Reed
Sorry to burst your bubble cheap shot - had jury duty today at 1030 then playing make up in the office.
Did Charlie stand with the effigy or not? No amount of trying to "swift boat" me is going to make that question go away.
BTW Lee, Bob and I settled the issue of Charlie's Bird between us, since it does not suit you to acknowledge that - it calls your own motives into question. I would expect better from a college educated professional with 30+ years of experience.
MY DD214 is not the McClintock team's decision to hand out, it is mine. If you want to see it, it is time for Charlie to Man up and answer the jury about his involvement in anti-war activity.
Come get some.
