RCP Exclusive - AJ Editor Deric Rothe's 2008 Rampage Begins
By Sgt. York | 06/18/08 | 09:52 AM EDT | 0 Comments
Exclusive to the Red County Placer Blog and brought to you by the same makers of the Kool-Aid Award is the Deric Rothe Rampage Watch 2008.
We will be highlighting the Auburn Journal editor's rampage against anything Republican in the 2008 election cycle.
As posted in a previous news roundup - the Auburn Journal posted a "From the Left" article written by Rob Haswell.
What Rothe decided to leave out was that Haswell is Jennifer Montgomery's campaign manager - therefore, he used his opinion column as free advertising for Jennifer. Montgomery needs people like Rothe and Haswell to run interferance for her as Montgomery when left to her own devices refers to Republicans as American Taliban.
There go those smear campaigns everyone is tired of again.
Haswell, for his part lobbed the following bomb: "So, that's where Kranz draws the line, then. If a person isn't under indictment or being actively prosecuted, then everything is fine with him."
I am sure that Charlie Brown would disapprove of Haswell's rhetoric as we need to put aside partisan politics, right?
Haswell lets everything out of the bag with his penultimate sentence: "Is it any wonder that the Auburn Journal implored voters to consider voting for Jennifer Montgomery or Bob Houston on Tuesday? Anybody but Bruce Kranz."
Apparently Rothe agrees - now he is actively using his newspaper to promote Montgomery.
