Secretary, Department of Making Things Right

Dear Secretary:

I am writing to make an appeal for a righting of an injustice.

This past week, I was awarded the title of Gentleman, 2nd Class. I was jumped in rank over Bob. This is an injustice on several grounds:

. Bob was here before I was.

. Bob is smarter and more serious than I am.

. Bob sticks to the issues and I tend to be a gadfly.

. I was busted down to the rank of Pariah, 1st Class just days before for being a smart mouth by the very same person who then jumped me in rank over Bob. This was evidenced by him e-mailing me that since I had such a smart mouth, he was canceling breakfast with me for eternity. He can’t have it both ways.

. Bob was a Naval Officer and a Gentleman, and thereby wore a very nice white dress uniform ala Richard Gere. I was a mere USArmy Specialist 4th Class and dressed like a Chinese coolie when I was at work. Therefore, I outranking Bob would be in serious violation of military protocol.

. It is transparently apparent that this was an attempt to divide and conquer via the inversion of rank.

.Bob promises to not use the N-word now that he and I are in agreement that the more politically correct and culturally relevant term is Right Wing Authoritarian.

Thus, I propose that to make things right, Bob be given the rank of Gentleman, 2nd Class, Primus Inter Pares to establish him to his rightful place.

Thank you in advance for your kind consideration.

Lee Reed
