Minutemen Project Founder Jim Gilchrist Endorses McClintock for Congress

Jim Gilchrist, president and founder of The Minutemen Project, endorsed Tom McClintock for Congress.  Last week in Nevada City, McClintock participated in a Minutemen Project event.

Sen. Tom McClintock has given "many years of tireless devotion to a laudable agenda as a fiscally responsible representative of the California electorate," Gilchrist said.  "I have followed your track record in California politics for a decade and I believe you will be a profound addition to Congress."

"You have my unwavering support and endorsement in your race for Congress," Gilchrist said.

Background

Jim Gilchrist founded the multi-ethnic Minuteman Project on Oct. 1, 2004, after years of frustrated efforts trying to get a neglectful U.S. government to simply enforce existing immigration laws.

Gilchrist holds a B.A. in newspaper journalism, a B.S. in business administration, and an M.B.A. in taxation. He is a former newspaper reporter and a retired California CPA (Certified Public Accountant).

Gilchrist is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and recipient of the Purple Heart award for wounds sustained while serving with an infantry unit in Vietnam, 1968 - 1969.

Mr. Gilchrist is a passionate defender of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and an avid supporter of law enforcement organizations. He has appeared on over 1000 radio and TV news and commentary shows in the past twelve months, and he believes he is only one of millions of 21st century minutemen / women / children who want the U.S. to remain governed by the "rule of law" and who want proactive enforcement of our national security protections and our immigration legal code.

Comments

Well, this has sealed the deal. McClintock will lose the election or bail out just like the last candidate that Gilchrist endorsed. Why? Because Jim Gilchrist, who named the second Minute Man Project after himself because the real Minute Man Project fired him and Stephen Eichler from the organization for apparent accounting discrepancies, is alleged to have committed fraud. He was just sued AGAIN earlier this week for Fraud and numerous other causes of action. Couple the issue with all the surrounding buzz around Gilchrist suing Americans with donor money that was received and you have a recipe for the "kiss of death" endorsement. Gilchrist keeps trying to ride the coattails of candidates and it quickly leads to political disaster for the candidates. RUN McClintock RUN! Don't associate yourself with FRAUD and TAX EVASION. Stephen Eichler's associate William S. Reed just got shut down for some of this. Check the Gilchrist and Eichler Bankruptcies. AGAIN... RUN McClintock RUN!

That McClintock would accept an endorsement in person from this guy is very scary. As I have posted before, McClintock's interest in becoming the next Tom Tancredo would be a total embarassment for our district were he elected. Now his involvement with Gilchrist adds a sinister dimension to his designs to be America's next Official Immigration Nut.

Bob,

I always hate to slow down your heated rhetoric, but I do have to ask: What exactly is an "official immigration nut?"

Oh, give me a break, John! It's Friday afternoon. I have to have a little fun at the end of the week.

But seriously, Tancredo had that rep (from one perspective). From another he was the best thing since sliced bread. I tend to think he is more of a nut than a slice of bread.

:)

After Gilchrist endorsed Huckabee back in the early presidential primaries, it stands to reason he would support McClintock who has become a career politician that has done absolutely nothing about the border issues. He was also silent when SB777 passed effortlessly through the Senate. What good is that?
