Yuba County GOP Leaders Censure Sue Horne For Misleading Mailer and Radio Campaign
Horne Warned to Apologize and Abandon Deceitful Tactics

(Marysville) The Yuba County Republican Party today announced that they have taken the unprecedented action to discipline 3rd District Assembly Candidate Sue Horne for her recent unfounded attacks on opponent Dan Logue.

After reviewing the evidence in a recent mailer sent by Horne the committee found the flyer to be blatantly false, misleading and untrue - the Yuba County Republican Party voted unanimously to censure Horne and to demand that she apologize and abandon her deceitful tactics.

"This is a case of a candidate making reckless and totally unfounded accusations against another Republican," stated Party Vice Chairman, Paul Myers.  We are the Party of Ronald Reagan, if we don't insist that our candidates stick to the issues and keep it honest who will?"

The GOP resolution condemned Horne's campaign mailer and corresponding radio ad on the same subject: "This represents a pattern of false assertions and intentional factual distortions as evidenced by the public record."

"I am disappointed but not surprised that my opponent has chosen to deceive 3rd District Republicans about my record," stated Logue.  "Horne should have enough integrity to fully research her claims before going on the attack.  This is what you do when you can't campaign on your own record or the issues."

"These are the type of Moveon.org tactics that would make Hillary Clinton proud," stated campaign spokesman Jim Nygren.  "Sue Horne has been accused of abandoning the Republican Party by Nevada County Republican leaders, now she's abandoning her ethics."

The Yuba County Republican Party now joins Dan Logue and other GOP leaders in calling for Horne to apologize and put an end to her deceitful tactics and smear campaign.
