The Logue campaign is out with a press release touting superior fundraising in the final weeks of the campaign, although at this point, you better have your mail paid for!
In Final Campaign Finance Report Logue Fundraising Outstrips Horne Over 4 to 1
Horne Pulls Last of Own Money Out of Race!
(Marysville) The Campaign of Dan Logue for Assembly today announced that a comparison of the most recent financial report submitted by candidates for Assembly District 3 reveal some substantial developments within the race. First the Logue campaign noted that in the reporting period from March 18 to May 17, Dan Logue's campaign total contributions received were: $58,015 compared to Horne's total contributions received of a mere $14,288.
"I think this speaks to the confidence Republicans have in my message and the positive campaign that I have run. I have kept to the issues and I have run on my record," stated Dan Logue. "My opponent, however, has fell into the trap of mudslinging and her unfounded attacks have backfired. Still, I call on my opponent to stick to the issues and run a clean race."
CENSURED BY GOP LEADERSHIP
Horne was recently unanimously censured by both the Yuba County and Butte County Republican Parties for her deceitful campaign tactics. In their announcement to the press the Yuba County Republican Party stated that they "...found the flyer to be blatantly false, misleading and untrue - and demanded that she apologize and abandon her deceitful tactics."
MORE TROUBLES FOR HORNE
The news of the censure from Republican leaders of two of the districts largest counties have put the Horne campaign into a political tail-spin. This has only been compounded by calls from Senator Sam Aanestad and Assemblyman Rick Keene for Horne to clean up her act.
In a recent letter to district Republicans, Senator Sam Aanestad stated: "I am disappointed in Sue Horne for making dishonest claims about Dan Logue's record...and personal attacks on a fine conservative."
HORNE PULLS HER OWN MONEY OUT
The most recent report not only shows the resounding strength in Logue's fundraising, it also shows that Sue Horne has pulled the last of her own resources, in the sum of $30,000 "off the table" and out of her campaign. In December Horne pulled $70,000 of her own money out and now records show that she has removed all of her own investment... One has to wonder if any of her contributors can expect a refund of their money back before it's too late?

3rd Assembly District Race

Like the leadership of ENRON and a host of other corporate failures, Horne has liquidated her stock in her campaign and run off. Like Hillary Clinton, she hung in there as long as others were willing to pay the freight, but clearly she lacks the resources and the confidence to follow through. Maybe it has to do with the fact that polling numbers presently show Logue with a 10 point advantage as her campaign goes dark for lack of resources.
