In Case You Missed It: CD 4 Debate Audio from KFBK
Posted by: Craig DeLuz | 05/29/2008 9:44 AM
I didn't have a chance to listen in to the debate when it aired live on KFBK 1530. So, I very much appreciate KFBK for making the audio available online.
As I am sure I am not the only one who missed it, I thought Red County readers would appreciate the opportunity to listen in as well.
**UPDATE***
I have fixed the link. Sorry about that!

Al & Michael,
The link has been fixed. Thank you for pointing out the problem.
Al,
The Lincoln Club debate, which was scheduled for this evening is the one that was cancelled. The audio linked on this post was hosted by KFBK and took place last night.
Thanks! I did a bit of googling and found that was the case...
What was interesting is after the debate on the Bruce Maiman show they were discussing the debate. The first 5 callers were all in support of Terbolizard, calling his opinions "refreshing" and his knowledge of the Constitution "impressive." Later in the show Bruce read 3 emails... 2 were pro-Terbo and 1 was anti-mainstream candidates.
It sounds to me like, were the media giving equal coverage of all candidates, this whole overplayed Ose vs McClintock school yard style name calling match wouldn't have existed. They would've both been scrambling to catch up to Terbo.
Michael, with regards to cancellation. The debate at the school was canceled due to "Security reasons" but KFBK held their debate all the same. Citizen's Voice backed out of sponsoring the event due a near violation of federal election laws (Non-profits cannot selectively choose which candidates to exclude apparently). The radio debate was fun though... got to listen to Ose say that it was a state's right (not a federal right) to deal with the topic of gay marriage, but that medicinal marijuana was definitely not a state's right and and that no one can justify "smoking dope."
Good times.
Might point out that it was McClintock that got Terbolizard and Suzanne Jones up there. McClintock has not been in a "school yard style name calling match", Ose has been, but McClintock has sought to debate issues while bating gnats that Ose sends his way.
Also, why are you listening to Bruce Maiman? LOL, guy got his show after Mark Williams was kicked out of his spot without a good reason. I won't listen to him...
In addition, Terbolizard's anecdotal support reminds me of Ron Paul's base. I don't think he would make much traction if he were given a larger platform. Also, gotta love the DUI on the day that he announced his candidacy
