If I were to describe Doug Ose's debate performance last night with just one word, that word would be WASTEWATER. He just can't get enough of it! He brought up the subject of waste water treatment in response to numerous unrelated questions. I think he gave everyone the creeps with his fixation on waste water. Tom McClintock's performance could be summed up by the word CONSTITUTION. He has actually read it, he respects it, and he understands that we don't elect our Congressman to handle municipal wastewater treatment for us. We already have competing layers of local governments to handle that stuff for us and we don't need any "help" from Congress. Rather than begging for funds to help us comply with unconstitutional federal mandates, we would rather have a Congressman who would fight to repeal the mandates. In the Fourth Congressional District, we need a Representative who will be a national statesmen, a powerful advocate for individual liberty, and a leader in the Conservative Movement. The last thing we need is another shameless Beltway politician who will compromise our principles in return for table scraps from Big Government. We don't want any more deficit spending to pay for earmarks and pork barrel spending, not even to benefit powerful special interests. In last night's debate at William Jessup University, Tom McClintock made it clear that he fits our District perfectly and we need him in Congress. Doug Ose made it clear that he cares more about funding for waste water treatment plants than he cares about the national debt, the deficit, and the Constitutional limits on Congressional authority. Maybe if Doug Ose fails to buy this seat in Congress, we can find a spot for him on the local Waste Water Advisory Board in Sacramento County, where he really lives.
