TOM McCLINTOCK FOR CONGRESS
LOS ANGELES - Today, California Young Americans for Freedom Chairman Brandon Powers announced that the grassroots conservative group officially endorsed conservative Republican State Senator Tom McClintock's campaign for Congress.
"Cal-YAF has been an admirer and supporter of Tom McClintock for many years, supporting him in every step of his career," explained Powers. "Tom has always stood strong for conservative principles, for California taxpayers, and for freedom. This endorsement was a no-brainer."
Cal-YAF is the California wing of the nationally recognized conservative organization Young Americans for Freedom. It is the only principled conservative grassroots political organization for young people in the state. Some of its members have gone on to become America 's most notable political figures. Cal-YAF is non-partisan organization.
I do think boiler plate endorsements issued from LA are basically an non-event. Carole and I will going out the SMF to pick up some friends from Pasadena for the weekend in about an hour. I will be interested in their take on Tom. Our friends' positions require that they have an acute sense of what's going on politically.
