McClintock Releases New Radio Ad: "Ose is a Liberal"

Posted by: Jeff Flint | 04/08/2008 4:22 AM

Just got this email from the McClintock for Congress campaign, touting a new radio ad entitled "Ose is a Liberal."  The email also asks recipients for funds to keep the ad on the air:

Here's the text of the email:

Sen. Tom McClintock launched a new radio advertising campaign this week with a spot entitled "Ose is a Liberal." The radio campaign highlights the clear distinction between the conservative McClintock, and the millionaire liberal Doug Ose.

The radio ad features the voice of Tom Hudson, Chairman of the Republican Party of Placer County. The Placer County Republican Central Committee endorsed McClintock immediately after he announced he would seek the 4th Congressional District seat.

Help Sen. McClintock keep this radio ad, "Ose is a Liberal" on the air. We need to bring in $50,000 by the end of this week to ensure that this ad continues to be heard throughout the next few weeks.

While my opponent is a multi-millionaire who has spent almost $1,000,000 of his own money on negative attacks, we have to rely on people like you to help spread our message. Can we count on your generous online contribution of $200, $100 or even $50 to keep this ad going? Thank you for your long-standing and generous support.

And here is the copy of the ad:

Here is the text of the radio ad:

Tom Hudson: I'm Tom Hudson, Chairman of the Republican Party of Placer County. There's a difference between our candidates for Congress - and the difference is clear: Tom McClintock is a real conservative - and Doug Ose is a Liberal. That's why we endorse Tom McClintock.

Doug Ose voted to raise taxes and increase spending over and over again. The National Taxpayer's Union gave Ose one of the worst ratings of any Republican in Congress - and Doug Ose refused to sign a "No Earmarks" pledge. Ose voted for the biggest expansion of entitlements in 40 years - and even voted to give social security benefits to illegal aliens.

Don't let Doug Ose try to raise our taxes again - we don't need another Republican that votes like a liberal Democrat.

The Republican Party of Placer County urges you to elect a trusted conservative we can depend on - Tom McClintock.

ANNOUNCER: Tom McClintock - its time to send a real conservative to Congress.

Tom McClintock: My name is Tom McClintock and I approved this message.

ANNOUNCER: Paid for by McClintock for Congress.
