Ted Gaines Update - Leadership on Homeschool Issue

Ted Gaines held a press conference with the Pacific Justice Institute regarding the outrageous decision by the California 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.
On March the 13th, Ted Gaines held that press conference on the steps of the Capitol with Brad Dacus, the parent who lost in court and the press.
Meanwhile - an Assembly resolution has been sponsored by every Republican except Roger Niello on this very issue. UPDATE - TODD MOFFIT, NIELLO Cheif of Staff e-mailed that Roger Niello is signing on as well.
Ken Campbell recently blogged on this here on the Red County Placer Blog - Doug Ose is wrong on this issue, too.

Just to clear the air here...Assemblyman Niello was busy fighting the latest tax increase proposal from the Assembly Democrats on Wednesday when the homeschool resolution was thrown at him during a caucus meeting. As someone who is not inclined to make knee-jerk decisions, he held off on signing onto the resolution until he fully understood the details of the court decision. Since the resolution can not even be heard until after the Spring Recess, he really didn't see the urgency.
He is a strong supporter of home school and actually has authored school choice legislation this year. He has also since released this statement on the issue: http://republican.assembly.ca.gov/members/a5/Index.aspx?page=PR&pr=4500
