Roseville & Rocklin Today Asks for Answers from Both Sides of Measure H Campaign - Only "Yes on H" Responds
By Jeff Flint | 01/22/08 | 04:43 AM EDT | 0 Comments
Roseville & Rocklin Today, the local online news portal (and business directory), recently asked both sides of the Measure H debate a series of questions. The publication offered to print each sides' answers, unedited, after allowing ample time for both sides to respond.
Not surprisingly, given the tone and tenor of their campaign, the "No on H" (mislabeled as "Save Clover Valley") chose not to respond. As befitting of NIMBY, IHMYCHY (I Have Mine, You Can't Have Yours) groups everywhere, they thrive on misinformation and fear tactics. When presented with a chance to debate on substance and facts, they dodge.
On the other hand, the "Yes on H" (Clover Valley for All) campaign responded with factual, details answers to all questions. This is not surprising, since the facts are on their side and they respect the voters of Rocklin enough to provide factual information.

A cultural center is planned in order to share the historical significance of Clover Valley and over two miles of hiking trails."
Question 3: How many homes will be built if Measure H passes?
(Save Clover Valley Org) - No response
(Yes on H) - "404 - None on the valley floor. The valley floor will be preserved as open space with hiking trails."
