It's Official, Ose to Announce Friday

As you have read here and on the Placer CRA Blog, we have known that an Ose for Congress announcement is imminent. Now it is official, in an email we received from the California Congress of Republicans:
Doug Ose to run for Congress
At our Republicans of River City January meeting, our members unanimously passed a motion urging former Congressman Doug Ose to run for Congress in the 4th Congressional district.
This Friday (Feb 1, 2008) at 11:00 a.m., on the steps of the Historic Placer County Courthouse in Auburn at 101 Maple Street , Doug will announce that he will run Congress.
I would like to encourage all the members of Republicans of River City and the other friends of Doug, who believe that he the most qualified and capable candidate with the leadership ability to keep the seat from falling into the hands of a Democratic candidate in the November general election, to attend this event.
Congressman Ose has a record of fighting tax increases and he is a champion of good government and good values in Congress. He will regain his seniority on committees critical to the district. That's why Republicans of River City urged him to run.

"Congressman Ose has a record of fighting tax increases "
Are you serious? I guess Republicans of River City are really stretching the truth here. Yikes! Ose has never fought tax increases or spending cuts for that matter!
He and his other Mainstreet Parternship freaks need to travel right on out of the 4th district. Right on out of the country would be good too!
Hmmmm. Seems to me that I broke this news back on January 11 at MarkTalk.com... nice to see the Bee finally join the party - nearly a month later. Also as reported by MarkTalk, Richard Robinson will be running Ose's effort.
Tomorrow we will see some surprises including Lew Uhler, of the National Tax Limitation Committee endorsing Ose, all 5 Placer Board of Stupidvisors... in all over 20 local elected officials... with rumored Eddie Bonner. I am anxious to see how Ose spins his breaking of the term limit pledge. Probably everyone knows politicians break promises and lie so Ose's broken promise will be no big deal.
The Bee broke the story of one of the people behind this, Carl Burton. Hey Carl, I don't play in your backyard so get the hell out of mine!!!
Tomorrow, bring your note pad and start taking names. Liberals will be identifying themselves. Bruce Kranz and Kirk Uhler have stepped over the line. If there is a viable candidate running against them, my wife and I are willing to max out our contributions along with finding other who will do the same.
My column I am currently writing tells the story of why the 5 Placer Board of Stupidvisors stiffed conservatives.
