A couple of interesting stories about the Prez Primary

First off, things are going quite well for Romney when the other candidates are shooting at him and not Rudy.
It is obvious that Rudy's love of tax increases and Gay Marriage is starting to wear down his numbers. It is also obvious that the attacks from the left in Kennedy-Land are starting to bolster Romney.
As I posted last week, a primer on why Social Conservatives should support Romney. Romney has a record and has been a Republican his whole life. This is in stark contrast for example, to a local candidate that has only been a Republican since 2005 with no record at all.
This first article highlights a poll where Republican voters ID Romney as the most Conservative candidate in the Primary. ARTICLE
The results are quite interesting and explain the effectiveness of Romney's campaign and Fred Thompson's ineptitude. I predict that Thompson will be done before Feb 5th and McCain will last longer than he will...
The second article looks like Rudy's spin to me. It looks to me like Guilliani is hedging his bets as his numbers slip. The article is showing how Rudy doesn't think that he needs the early states to win despite their historical significance.
Guilliani is about to learn that the National Republican Party has not gone the way of Arnold. Guiliani is not even trying to court Conservatives. He may be getting some endorsements, but there is no continuity at all...

So Aaron, I have to ask, do you only believe polls when they agree with your position? You cite a poll that you believe is favorable to Romney, therefore, it is true.
Earlier, when a poll was released that showed Doolittle would lose the 4th CD, it is just spin and DC insiders and prompted by the ABD caucus.
By the way, the same polls that you cite as pro-Romney also show that, among the top-tier GOP candidates for President, he performs the worst against Hillary Clinton.
Moving on, you are of course entitled to your opinion, but you have no basis to say that "Giuliani is not even trying to court conservatives." I know of several conservatives who support Rudy. But seriously, in the week that Paul Weyrich and Pat Robertson endorse Rudy, you are going to try to spin that Rudy is not trying to court conservatives?
Finally...Rudy's tax increases? Are you serious? Rudy cut taxes more than anyone in the race. Romney, meanwhile, brags about a health care plan that is functionally the same as Clinton's. No wonder you don't care that he performs poorly against her in general election matchups...you get her policies whether she wins or Romney does.
Oh, and one more thing, the joke will be on CRA, if Romney were to win the nomination, and then he goes back to being the pro-abortion, government-should-run-health- care, I'm-a-moderate Mitt Romney that he was just over a year ago. He has proved that he will take on whatever positions are conventient at the time. He'll use the CRA endorsement in the primary, and then abandon CRA principles in the general, just like he has always done.
Jeff, I agree with your sentiments on Mitt. He's also pro gun control and open border. BTW, Fred Thompson got the National Right to Life endorsement today...pretty powerful grass roots political machine.
CRA endorses mitt romney.......
good god, no WONDER the Republican party sucks nowadays.
Thompson gets the PRo LIfe movement behind him....now, that's interesting news.
Wonder how THAT happened, if he's such a loser....parks? any idea's from your brain dead self?
Yup.......silence....didn't think so.
