Loomis Town Councilman Miguel Ucovich Accuses PCTPA of Deception

On his blog, Loomis Town Councilman Miguel Ucovich says the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency decives[sic] people.
His point is that the recent PCTPA mailings and forums warning of a potential 600% increase in traffic congestion if a local option sales-tax is not passed is based on an assumption that not a single road or freeway improvement project will happen in Placer County without a sales tax.
He argues that Proposition 1B, developer fees, and other sources of funding makes this a deceptive assumption:
Why is PCTA[sic] lying to the people in order to scare thwm[sic] into approving a 1/2 additional sale tax? You should write letters to the editor of your local newspapers and question why this fase[sic] advertising was done.
The full post is here.
One wishes Councilman Ucovich would proof his blog a little more closely, but I am interested to see how PCTPA will respond to this, if at all.
In Orange County last year, we showed voters which projects would be funded by existing sources, such as state and federal funds, and those extra projects that would be done by an extension of Measure M.
I would assume PCTPA has a similar list of projects. Perhaps they showed that at the forums this past week. I couldn't attend...I was coaching my son's soccer team!
[Quick Edit] - I should have gone here first - Here is the draft expenditure plan from PCTPA/Fix Placer Traffic on proposed projects, where state and federal spending stacks up, and how the 1/2-cent tax is necessary to complete the project list.
