BREAKING NEWS: Eric Hogue Announces for 4th Assembly District

Posted by: Jeff Flint | 09/30/2007 9:50 AM

This just over the transom by email:

Dear Friends of Eric Hogue,

When the opportunity presents itself for duty and leadership, I believe qualified citizens must offer themselves and their talents. Such an opportunity has evolved with the Office of State Assembly, District Four.

As it stands, Republican Assembly Member Ted Gaines represents the oversight of values for what is called AD-4, and the districts predominately conservative constituents. As you have been hearing and reading in your Sacramento Bee newspaper, Assembly Member Gaines has expressed his concerns as it relates to the congressional office currently held by Republican Congressman John Doolittle.

Member Ted Gaines is considering a congressional campaign, which would leave his current position as State Assembly Member open come 2008. After personally speaking with Member Gaines, as well as numerous Republican leaders inside of the State Capitol, it is with great pride that I have announced my campaign for State Assembly, District Four.

To be perfectly clear, my campaign is established upon a contingency. If Member Ted Gaines decides to run for Congress, I will complete my race, offering my many years of political experience for the great citizens of this - a valued Republican District for the State of California.

If Member Gaines decides to return to the State Assembly, I will bow out of the current race when he makes such an announcement - protecting the established Republican Caucus in the State Assembly.

There is no need to reinvent the conservative wheel if Ted Gaines decides to maintain his current office, nor to weaken GOP dollars by operating a selfish endeavor. Ill sit back and wait for my next opportunity to be a change agent inside of the State Capitol.

Success is not obtained by waiting for the waters to calm, preparation for tomorrows leadership starts today while the waters are still uncertain.

Good citizens should not be left leaders-less in the wake of a congressional shake-up.

Starting Monday, October 1, 2007, Im actively collecting campaign contributions to Friends of Eric Hogue. Your appreciated donations will be applied to my current campaign, with the caveat that they will be returned in full if there is no necessity of a campaign.

This email finds your inbox due to my search for 200 Hogues Heroes, politically concerned residence of AD-4 who can contribute $100 or more to my State Assembly campaign.

Single, one-time contributions can be as much as $3600. Friends of Eric Hogue treasurer, Kelly Lawler, will official oversee these funds in active preparation for the campaign and Primary Election that arrives in June of 2008.

You personally know me and my leadership skills. Im a Republican candidate that has displayed the experience, expertise and achieved success as it relates to the inner workings of the State Capitol and California political system.

Remember The Recall of 2003?

It was my morning political talk show that started the recall of then Governor Gray Davis, and it was my personal effort that created what is now the norm - the drive-by signings for statewide initiatives and signature gathering campaigns.

I want to give the people of District Four their voice back. Put me inside of the Capitol this time, personally representing our moral conservative values.

To obtain a seat in the Assembly I need your financial support. It takes money to keep the agendas that tread upon our rights, our families and our finances. Help me fight for you and for what is right without compromising our values.

Today Im inviting you to become a Charter Member of  Hogues Heroes by offering a workable donation. You can make your checks out to Friends of Eric Hogue, and mail then directly to Friends of Eric Hogue: at 2094 Blackheath Lane, Roseville, California 95678.

Help me prepare for our future, providing leadership inside of the State Capitol for the people of State Assembly District Four.

If you have any questions my personal cell phone number is (916) 276-4676, and my personal email address is ericstudio@comcast.net for your comments and dialogue. A campaign web site is coming in the near future.

On behalf of my family and the voters of the district, I thank you for your friendship and your support. Here is praying for a future of moral leadership and ethical influence in the State Capitol.

Thankfully,

Eric Hogue
State Assembly, District Four
