I found Victor Davis Hanson's article today in NRO quite interesting.  It is depressing to have all of California's resources described in such detail, followed by our woeful situation.  Rich in resources, Hanson argues--persuasively--that our state is destroying itself with "California Dreamin'".  This vacation from reality is not serving us, our our children, well.
