The local hysteric of the OC blogosphere pointed out in  a post today that Garden Grove Councilman Bruce Broadwater donated $1,000 to the Yes on Proposition 8 campaign, which preserves the ancient institution of marriage against redefinition by the government.

I'd like to give a great big thank you to Bruce Broadwater. Thank you for supporting reason over emotionalism, clear thinking and logic over sloganeering and sophistry. Thank you for standing up for the permanent and durable against short-sighted faddishness. Thank you taking a stand in protecting the intrinsic nature of a fundamental human institution against those who would use the power of government to turn marriage into something it is not.
