Steve Greenhut is a great guy, and offers valid criticisms of the Republican Party -- which are unfortunately lost in a tabloid sensibility.

His column in today's OC Register "Commentary" is a good example. Lots of de rigeur over-generalization and sneering at conservatives, plus a healthy dollop of gratuitous attacks on Sarah Palin. Steve represents as fact the accusation by anonymous leakers that Sarah Palin didn't know Africa is a continent -- a charge Gov. Palin has denied and one that absolutely stretches credulity. But Steve so despises Sarah Palin that he will, I think, believe anything that casts her in a bad light and promises to confirm his prejudices about her.
