The city of Fullerton is always on the verge of going Democrat, or at least having a anti-business Democrat majority on the city council.

This election was no different.  Karen Haluza was making a strong play for a council while Republicans Shawn Nelson and Dick Jones were fighting to keep their seats.

Haluza ran into the Republican Party along the way.  Wanting to preserve a Republican council that would at least listen to the business community the Republican Party fired off a couple devastating blows to Haluza's chances.

The local GOP's activities for sure put Jones and Nelson is a much more solid position, perhaps even insured Jones' victory.
