Santa Ana Council candidate Art Pedroza, the free-floating political reactionary of the OC blogosphere, was on the receiving end of a negative mail piece that landed in voters mail boxes yesterday.

It was sent out by Citizens for a Better Santa Ana, a bi-partisan coalition of the willing who'd rather not take a chance that an accident of vote might drop a character assassin into elective office.

There are two versions of the mailer. One targets decline-to-state voters:

Citizens for a Better Santa Ana was formed on Monday of last week by some concerned citizens, including yours truly. By Friday of last week we had raised enough for the mail pieces -- more money, in fact, than Art has been able to raise in nearly four months.

The hardest part of raising the money was none of the potential donors thought Art has any chance of winning. Luckily, Art has spilled so many pixels launching so many vicious personal attacks that donors gave out of a desire to smack a character assassin, more than out of concern Art might win.
