Prop 6 Uses Books AND Badges

I just got a chance to look at this op-ed on Proposition 6 that was sitting in my inbox for a while. It is one of the most concise and best descriptions I've seen for Proposition 6.

The best excerpt is: "California urgently needs a balanced and sustainable three-pronged approach to successfully deter and combat gang violence; one that recognizes the need for both books and badges. Proposition 6, the Safe Neighborhoods Act, embraces this approach...It invests in programs for at-risk youth and allows probation officials to address early juvenile crime by monitoring first-time non-violent felons."

Voters should JUST SAY NO to ballot box budgeting. Prop 6 is nothing but a police union payoff.
