Ooooooh, barracuda?

Nancy and Ann Wilson, the sisters that form the band Heart are outraged at the RNC's use of their song "Barracuda" and have issued the following statement:
"Sarah Palin's views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women. We ask that our song 'Barracuda' no longer be used to promote her image. The song 'Barracuda' was written in the late 70s as a scathing rant against the soulless, corporate nature of the music business, particularly for women. (The 'barracuda' represented the business.) While Heart did not and would not authorize the use of their song at the RNC, there's irony in Republican strategists' choice to make use of it there." (More here)The real irony is that Heart is only concerned when their music is used to promote strong, proven leaders and see no problem in promoting mini-vans. Those royalty checks from Honda probably have a way of easing their affiliation with the soulless, corporate nature of the automobile industry.

Is their retired USMC father alive to see this?
I thought Republicans advocated protection of property rights? In this case, its intellectual property rights.
Actually, it is Joe Biden that is the biggest backer of the RIAA (Recording Industry Assoc. of America).
I wonder if all those college age kids who support Barack realize that Joe want to prosecute them for "sharing" music and movies, while the FBI is going through their computer files and e-mails.
