McCain and Moses

Was watching FOX AND FRIENDS this morning and saw the ads that McCain has put out about Obama, which use religious references. McCain is calling to the attention (which actually needs to be done sometimes) of America, that Obama in his self-righteous arrogance has, for all practical purposes assumed he is already the President, predestined and wrapped up.
While I'm not sure what Moses is thinking about all this from his viewpoint....
I thought it was a good move for the campaign to point this out and let people question the validity of Obama's assumptions. FOX news commentators pointed out that in Europe they love Obama and think he is the best thing that's happened in years. Of course, thank goodness, they aren't the majority of voters in the U.S. There are many Americans living abroad that vote - and a few nights ago some of those were interviewed on another FOX news show and, quite like the rest of their compatriates abroad, they thought the same thing, "Obama will save America".
McCain takes this "bull" by the horns and tackles it squarely in these ads. Spoofing Obama as the savior of America is really asking "but what does this guy really know?" The single most valid question of the campaign. And from my take on it? Not much. He's great with rhetoric, but even when you listen to that you get tired of trying to find the answer he's supposed to be getting to. But he uses lots of noble phrases and lots of well put together words...and a lot of B.S.
McCain's ads depicting celebrities - while stating the obvious - point out the "celebrity" craziness that has taken over this Obama campaign.
While McCain wasn't my first choice for a Republican Presidential Candidate; he certainly exceeds Obama in every department with patriotism (that might be number one), knowledge, experience and guts. And besides, you can understand what it is John McCain is saying when he says it. You don't have to figure it out. And he lacks (thank goodness) the overpowering arrogance of his opponent. I'm liking McCain more every day.

The only people I know over the last 15 years or so - who have ever been McCain supporters - are liberal Democrats. Every one.
Does that include the Van Tran Machine which so successfully brought in the votes for McCain in OC?
Hmm. Interesting symbolism. Who plays the part of Pharoah - the guy who couldn't seem to grasp the situation even after a succession of plagues had devastated the land?
Presidential election years are much like carnivals, aren’t they? At their heart, of course, is a very important question, but it’s so hard to keep one’s mind on it what with the endless side-shows and silly kids playing grab-ass in the grass between the tents.
I don’t want to prejudge you, but based on this post, you seem to be one of the grab-ass kids.
Obama is “arrogant” and “self-righteous”? Well, maybe so, but, really, what does that—or Mr. McCain’s tolerance for crass jokes, or Obama's 3-point baskets, etc.—have to do with the important issues at hand? Virtually nothing. There’s something going on, but you don’t know what it is, do you, Mr. Jones? (That’s an allusion to Dylan, kid.)
A few thousand Americans in Europe are swept up in Obamamania? Guess so. But how trivial can you get?
The “celebrity craziness” to which you refer is a side-show, as is the “patriotism” competition between the candidates.
You seem like a nice girl. Who can resist your retro pic? My advice: get out from between the tents, stop staring at the geek, and concentrate on substance. Otherwise, you ARE the geek.
