Mayor Margie Rice Moved to Remove Janet's Bridge from Agenda

It was a shocker to Janet Nguyen and her supporters because Margie was the person who placed the issue on the agenda.
What happened:
A few weeks ago, Janet demanded that Margie placed her "Bolsa Bridge" on the Consent Calendar for approval. The Mayor rightfully refuses because the matter was deemed too important to be voted upon along with all the other routine items.
The item was then scheduled for the August 27 meeting.
On August 15, County CEO Tom Mauk sent Westminster another letter detailing all the line items that were agreed upon based on the "negotiation between the County and City, which took place subsequent to the Cooperative Agreement being sent to the City in March 2008..."
Margie Rice and the majority of the Council Members were livid because there was never any negotiation between the County and City. According to the council, Tom Mauk basically sent Westminster a letter stating the terms of the agreement and expect the city to rubber stamp it.
The Westminster City Council didn't rubber stamp it, they acted wisely by not acting on it at all.
After the 4-0 vote, Janet and her entourage stormed outside and held an impromptu press conference to further attack the city council for not approving her $3 million bridge.
Following this episode, Margie Rice felt she was stabbed in the back by her own County Supervisor.
Janet Nguyen cannot find a bigger cheerleader for her in Westminster than Margie. The Mayor went out of her way to campaign for Janet during the June Election. She's is the only one in the city who is carrying water for Janet on her bridge.
That's why I think it is foolish for Janet to betray Margie Rice by accusing the Mayor and Westminster for backtracking on the "negotiation". What negotiation?

Janet self burned the Bolsa bridge and Margie Rice relationship. She does't any bridge to burn. Too bad.
I'm sorry for Margie, she was very upset last night. Someone toll me that Margie could not eat and sleep last night because Janet was stabbed in her back

One more story about Janet and her incredible lack of loyalty.
Margie Rice has been solidly in Janet's corner, raised money for her when her legal fees were mounting, and put her credibility on the line when times were tough.
This is a huge mistake by Janet because it sends a signal to everyone that she has no loyalty to anyone.
Actually, Margie said she was not against the project, but was surprised by the letter from the County CEO Mauk which indicated that there had been negotiations that Margie and the council were not aware of.
Here goes another hatchet job on Janet....I'll ask her myself just what the problem was and report back here to you. As sometimes happens, the staff's right hand doesn't know (County and City)what the other staff's left hand is doing. It happens in other organizations and other cities.
Yes, Margie was upset that there was a room full of people come to comment on the bridge when they knew they were going to have to pull it from the agenda due to the language of the document.
Is anyone surprised that Janet would stab Margie in the back? This is nothing new from the entitled one.
Janet's head is getting too big with her sparkling Supe. position.
Many people complained Janet is running the office with "military mentality" after the election.
Wow! But not a surprise, given that it's a typical Janet's M.O.
Janet can put on her resume as a professional "bridge burner." This is not the first time nor the last "bridge" that Janet will burn down! She's done this in the Viet community throughout her political career. If she wishes to continue a career in politics, she better look herself in the mirror and make some personality & attitude changes.
Kudos to Margie.
Idea to build a cross-bridge over Bolsa is good but?
- Why must to be on 9191 & 9190 Bolsa Ave?
- How many pedestrians across on daily and weekend?
- State is lack of 16 billion of dollars, why do we spend too much money on the project which is waste of funds.
- Who will pay for 1B bill? We, tax-payers
Over 15 years ago, Mr. Frank Jao who owned Bridgcreek Development Co. (Both shopping centers is belong him). So let him take care of it. Do not use the tax money to build a private own and convenience for shopping owners.
Besides, the bridge will block Vietnamese New Year Parade due to the height of bridge. Also the bridge will block the view of parade from Magnolia to Asian Garden Mall.
Other issues: Who will pay for all maintenance's cost (landscaping, light, elevator, painting, repairing) after the bridge built? Who will responsible for all crimes that may happen like rapes, robberies, suicides.
Winner: Frank Jao
Losser: Tax Payers
Victim: Mayor Margie L. Rice
I think developer/donor Frank Jao is pressing hard on Janet to offer this free bridge gift on his laps ........for his past strong political support for Janet Nguyen.
Mr. Andrew Do, an candidate council member of Garden Grove had said on VNCR radio program (I had a recorded tape) that: "This bridge is a landmark like Disneyland, like Vietnam War Memorial in Westminster ...."
This comparison is shame on him. As a lawyer, former deputy DA how can he make a stupid though?
First: Disneyland is giant wonderful entertainment of the world and there is no any nation i the world entertainment can compare with.
Second: Vietnam War Memorial in Memorial is a symbol of the spirit of South Vietnamese & US soldiers. While bridge is just a mean for crossing (overpass of little convenience for pedestrians).
As a former Army Ranger of ARVN, I requested Mr. Andrew Do, a Garden Grove council member must withdraw his comment and make an apology to those who fought and died for freedom in Vietnam war.
You are stupid sucker Mr. Andrew Do when making this comment.
To Andrew Do and Janet Nguyen,
Stop using taxpayers money for your political purposes, which is going no where with this so-called walkway. It's not even a bridge. Where's the "freedom" in all of this. What a bunch of crock.
Margie Rice finally saw your scheme and call it for what it is. This is one "brdige too far" for Andrew Do to walk from Westminster to Garden Grove. What a loser he is. Why is he not practicing law and try to earn a decent living instead of getting in the mud with Janet Nguyen?
To CRA & Nguyen Hung -
I just got off the phone with a contact in Little Saigon. She told me that she had talked to a Westminster official who apparently learned that the bridge idea was solely Janet's, and not anyone else. Both the City and Frank Jao were as surprise when this item surfaced. It is likely the case that Janet wants to bring home the pork to show off to the Viet community against Team Tran. And as is her nature, Janet tried to shoved it down people's throat instead of bringing in the stakeholders. And if I hear things correctly, Janet is one who is trying to court Frank Jao's support, not the other way around.
Janet doesn't know how to count to three - the number she needs on the council when she sneaked this item onto the council agenda.
Janet and Andrew, for political points, wanted to build a "bridge" on a stfreet of my namesake and without including the community's input. How do you spell stupidity?
I heard that Andrew the Do went on Viet radio mouthing off mis-information and all. Does he thinks that he will get away with his unethical lies and deception? This "bridge" is doomed even before it's built. The only "bridge" in existence is in Janet and Andrew the Do's heads!
You lost. The "bridge" is washed. Move on!
I think it's very clear Janet isn't capable of building bridges, be it between people or structurally, but she does seem to be an expert at burning thI think it's very clear Janet isn't capable of building bridges, be it between people or structurally, but she does seem to be an expert at burning them. I would personally like to see some type of landmark to welcome people to Westminster’s Little Saigon, and Janet may have been able to do it if she knew how to communicate with the community and her peers and not just try to run the whole show, and is it just me or does it seem like Janet stole this idea from one of the property owners along Bolsa and tried to claim it as her own? Dear readers,
From my previous above comment: "I requested Mr. Andrew Do, a Garden Grove council member.."
Please read the correction statement: "I requested Mr. Andrew Do, a Garden Grove Council candidate ..."
Thanks you for the mistake.
