Laguna Niguel City Council Election: May the best person win

Well, in looking at the candidate statements of the major contenders, it looks like Laguna Niguel residents will have quite a group of highly qualified candidates to choose from. In reviewing the candidates, it is apparent that incumbency and hard work will most likely prevail on November 4th.
Joe Brown, Business Executive: Very solid priorities and accomplishments, which I think are very important. It gets me when a candidate either complains when there is nothing to complain about or lists no goals for future city plans. Joe has solid goals for the city, good statement
Gary Capata, City of Laguna Niguel Councilmember/CPA: Super job on public safety discussion and traffic improvements. A bit long on previous work and no mention of endorsements. Gary is an incumbent, I expect to see some backing from our local legislators.
Paul Glaab, Mayor/Councilmember, City of Laguna Niguel: One of the best jobs I have seen in specifically outlining his accomplishments and a raft of local endorsements. You can see where he wants to take the city. Only point is he did not list his website.
Sam June, Businessman, Father, Neighbor: As you can guess, when a candidate has to put "neighbor" in your ballot statement, there is not much there for the voter to be excited about. He tries hard to show experience (HOA President) but is pretty thin compared to incumbents. It will be tough for him.
David Weiss: Planning Commissioner/Businessman: Makes a good case about future decisions for the city, and his experience to get the job done. Lots of quality endorsements, surprising for a non-incumbent. Very compelling.
Laguna Niguel has two incumbents (Glaab, Capata) running for three spots. With Glaab's high profile and quality statement, he will be a lock for November. For the other two slots, it will be a real race between Weiss, Capata and Brown. Capata has the edge as an incumbent, and we will see which campaign has the best organization (Weiss or Brown). The one that works the hardest will most likely pick up the third seat.

I have the utmost respect for these individuals. Anyone wanting to make my city better through public service is a great American. Unfortunately, this entry doesn't contain my name(Probably because I failed to put up the cash for a ballot statement).

I'm new to the political scene and very enthusiastic about this race.
