I'm Just Saying...

If at first you were not bewildered, further reflection on Obama's selection of Joe Biden to be his running mate should at least leave you with one or two unanswered questions about what he brings to the ticket. This is especially true when you consider Biden's proclivity not just for making foolish statements, but the regularity with which he has made foolish statements that are racially insensitive.
But what if his selection was part of the deal brokered between Team Clinton and Team Obama? What if one of the terms of her concession was that Obama pick a running mate not likely to run for president four years down the road? Biden is 66, and if Obama were to lose in 2008, he would be less likely to be the Democratic frontrunner than say, Evan Bayh or Tim Kaine had they selected for the second postion on the ticket. On the other hand, in 2012 Hillary will be younger than Biden is today and have a powerful case to be made to her party that it erred in not nominating her in 2008.
I have no inside knowledge, but considering her restrained endorsement of Obama and her registration of the HRC2012 domain name... I'm just saying.
