Greenhut Slams Fullerton Councilwoman Keller On Secrecy and Pension Spiking

Fullerton City Councilmember Pam Keller made it clear Tuesday night that closed, secretive government is better than open government -- at least when the councilwoman is busy trying to spike pensions for her union allies. Keller directly and unfairly criticized Councilmember Shawn Nelson for blowing the whistle on the attempt by the City Council to negotiate a 25-percent retroactive pension spike for city employees behind closed doors. You can read the rest here.

Alas, Pam did not distinguish herself last night. First she criticized Nelson (who gave an outstanding and dispassionate statement of his position); then she voted for a big subsidy to build condos nobody will buy, to remove public parking, and to build a massive, overbearing project with dubious CEQA support. The support of the ridiculous "Amerige Court" boondoggle is diametrically opposite of statements made to me when she was running for election two years ago. She either has an exceedingly poor memory or maybe she thought no one was listening.
But isn't Pam right?
Nelson knowingly committed a crime against his office. As a sitting councilmember he received AB1234 training, as I believe you Matt should have also received. Contract negotiations and labor issues are exempt from open agendas. Whether Fullerton or Greenhut likes it or not thats the law! What is so hard about understanding that?
just...asking,
Here's an idea, since you believe Nelson broke the law: why don't you and Pam Keller have him prosecuted and let a judge decide?
Yesterday I overheard (okay I was eavesdropping) a Keller supporter say that Pam has principles - she just doesn't know what they are.
Superb!
