Extended Candidate Filing

The Registrar of Voters has announced that the deadline for filing to run in the following races offices has been extended to Wednesday, August 13 at 5:00 PM because incumbents failed to file by August 8.

  • Rancho Santiago Community College District, Trustee Area 1
  • Brea Olinda Unified School District
  • Capistrano Unified School District, Trustee Area 1
  • Garden Grove Unified School District
  • Laguna Beach Unified School District
  • Orange Unified School District, Trustee Area 3
  • Santa Ana Unified School District
  • Fountain Valley School District
  • Lowell Joint School District (No candidates in Orange County. Check with Los Angeles County)
  • Capistrano Bay Community Service District
  • Emerald Bay Service District
  • Rossmoor Community Services District
  • Surfside Colony Community Services District
  • Three Arch Bay Community Services District
  • Silverado-Modjeska Recreation and Park District
  • Sunset Beach Sanitary District
  • Surfside Colony Storm Water Protection District

    • Check out the press release from the Registrar of Voters for more information.  Checking LA does seem to indicate that Lowell Joint School District will not actually be extended.
