This really shows the power of federalism: if the #&@! Feds would leave us alone, we here in Californians appear close to a reasonable setup for Cannabis.
As Chuck Devore's budget post today showed, it's hard to think well of the folks in Sacramento, but we seem to be close to a Cannabis distribution system that lets people make personal choice in their own lives without having this intoxicant run amok like alcohol and nicotine has. This is a huge improvement over the DEA approach that pushes everyone out of the distribution business except violent criminals and their gang-banging distributors.
