Harrison Ford has waxed his chest to fight global warming, reports the Register. Ford and other aged, fading, and irrelevant boomer celebrities (Ted Danson, Diane Keaton, Jeff Goldblum) attended a Laguna Beach fund raiser for Oceana, an environmentalist group. The event "drew 450 of Orange County's wealthiest dolphin lovers and tortoise protectors", raising over $1 million. (Oceana bought $1000 in carbon credits to offset the carbon footprint of the party, of course.)
Oceana is part of the global warming jihad against global trade. Oceana and Attorney General Moonbeam have petitioned the EPA to "set pollution rules for large, ocean-going marine vessels" because ships are major sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Oceana claims that "The global fleet of marine vessels releases almost three percent of the world's carbon dioxide, an amount comparable to the emissions of Canada"
Container ships are central to global trade, transporting commodities such as coal, iron ore, bauxite, fertilizers, and steel products; cargo, crude oil, or other oil products. If Oceana and the global warming jihadists have their way with the EPA, they will drive up the prices of goods and commodities even further, and likely trigger a global recession or worse.
