With just over a week left in filing I wanted to give an update on the filing period for some races that are not found on the registrar of voters site. I figured that I would give an update on Villa Park to start with.

I first have a correction to make on my previous post regarding Villa Park. Councilwoman Deborah Pauly called me yesterday and told me that my information regarding former Councilman Richard Freschi was incorrect. It turns out that he is termed out and would be inelgible to run this November which is probably why he ran for the Serrano Water Board.

As far is the candidates are concerned it is suprisingly quiet with the same two candidates (Willard "Bill" MacAloney, and W. Richard Ulmer) being the only ones on the ballot. I would be very surprised if it was just these two on the ballot come November. Don't be shocked if at least one more candidate decides to run. I have heard rumblings that we might see another familiar face filing before the filing period is over.
