S.A. Councilwoman Michele Martinez To Challenge Mayor Pulido's Re-Election

There's been chatter in the blogosphere for some time that Martinez was going to run. On one hand, she's in the middle of her first term and therefore has a "free ride."
On the other hand, it's always tough to knock off an incumbent, especially one as entrenched as Miguel Pulido. If she raises money and volunteers and starts to look like a threat, expect the Empire to strike back...hard.
The wild card in the race could be Thomas Gordon, but it remains to be seen if he can raise sufficient funds to communicate a persuasive message to Santa Ana voters. My instinct is Pulido benefits from having two challengers in the race, because it diffuses the votes of residents unhappy enough with their city to want a change at the helm.

What a lame group of candidates Santa Ana voters have to choose from.
Aren't their any Republicans in Santa Ana's mayor race?
My co-blogger Thomas Anthony Gordon, since you ask! A Republican of rare integrity.
Great. A white guy who can't raise any money.
Why doesn't our party care about grooming some legitamate candidates in SA? It seems we sould rather fight amoung ourselves during the primaries.

Because Tim Whitacre would never allow it. The man is a scuzball.
MICHELE WILL WIN...THERE NO DOUBT
Cruz,
Michele is going to win!
Michele will work harder. The citizens of Santa Ana will win!
