New on the Irvine Tattler:
http://www.irvinetattler.com/greatpark/prevailing_wage.aspx
Councilman Larry Agran wants to increase the cost of construction projects at the Great Park by 10%-20% by mandating Irvine pay prevailing union wages on construction projects even when it's not required.
Chris Mears, Agran's former long-time ally who renounced Agran in 2004, wrote that one reason he renounced Agran was that Agran was "influence peddling" with the unions and wanted Mears to support prevailing wage. Mears refused.

When are you going to correct the story on Todd Gallinger's residency and your violation of the terms of use of Intelius' data.
And while you're at it, you can correct the claim that Gallinger altered an OC Register headline; I'm glad my microfiche skills still work. The electronic headline says one thing, but the news article in the deadwood copy of the Register said exactly what Galinger claimed, no altering required. It'd be nice if you opened your website for comments, and better still if you would correct the record when its been debunked.
Question about the preview park - I see that the preview park is going to take 18 months to 24 months to complete. Furthermore, the preview park is tobe 27.5 acres.
So how many acres are going to be open and ready for public use on July 12? 5 or 10 acres?
Do we have to wait eighteen months before we see the majority of the "preview park"?
Or how about this, give us milestones (dates and/or timelines) when we are going to have 5,10, 15, 20, 25 and finally 27.5 acres open and available for use. On the same timeline, what amenities are there going to be - i.e. ball fields, soccer fields, hiking and walking trails, etc.
Are we counting the runways which were not demolished in the acreage calculation?
