OC Blog Is Looking For A Few Good Bloggers

I'd like to extend on invitation to our readers and commenters to join the OC Blogpen and be part of Orange County's most influential online political medium.
During the course of the past four years, our current and former Blogpen members have been drawn from the ranks of consultants, long-time activists, elected officials and local observers of the political swamplands. They've also been drawn from among the ranks for readers and commenters, such as one of our early and most prolific bloggers, Lurk. Kahuna, a finer blogger more of the Center than the Right, was another.
Another long-time commenter, TylerH, just joined the Blogpen and will be posting soon. I encourage any politically Center-Right readers and commenters to contact me if they are interested in contributing their insight and analysis of OC government and politics, or conducting some investigative blogging, or covering neglected aspects of county life. Former Blogpen members, such as Silence Dogood, are welcome to return to the fold.
Potential Blogpen members can write under their own name, or in the tradition of OC Blog, use a pseudonym if deemed necessary. Contact me and we'll discuss what's expected, and then go from there.

Aren't you looking to replace Adam Aleman in San Bernardino too? I can't imagine they will let him blog for Red County 909 from jail...
Speaking of jail- Art you and Supervisor Janet should be in one for fooling the voters in to re-electing her.
Geez Art - didn't you guys have a post about this very subject on your own blog not long ago? Were you not recruiting bloggers to join your own blog team? And Matt can't do the same thing on his blog? Maybe Janet would want to blog here, like Chuck DeVore does.
Just in case you missed it, the State of California filed a discrimination lawsuit against me (Daniel Bader), a OC homeowner with a mother in law rental unit in the back of my house, in OC Superior Court on November 30, 2007.
Even though the State investigator for the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) found no evidence of past or present discriminatory practices, DFEH Chief Counsel, Paul Ramsey, Esq., and staff attorney, Ralph Tsong, Esq., still felt compelled to file the lawsuit anyway.
The State alleges that an 8 word phrase I used in a Craigslist rental posting in 2006 amounted to discriminator advertising ("perfect for 1 or 2 professonal adults")on the basis of familial status. The State is seeking 'unlimited damages'. The 5 day jury trial is set for January 5, 2008. www.stategonecrazy.com.
