Lou Penrose Running For Dana Point Council

I'm not sure if we posted about this yet, but if not, it bears mentioning that Lou Penrose has tossed his hat into the ring for Dana Point City Council. There are two seats on the November ballot, one of which is open due to Diane Harkey's impending election to the Assembly (incumbent Lara Anderson occupies the other one). Lou is the district director for Rep. John Campbell and a good, politically active conservative.
I don't know where, if anywhere, Lou falls within the factions of Dana Point politics, but I do believe he'd be a great councilmember.
Lou is a personable, articulate guy who should do well as a candidate, and given his extensive involvement in OC GOP politics, he should have little trouble raising a sufficient campaign warchest. Lou's consultant is veteran Scott Hart, who is also consultant for the winning campaigns of Dana Point Councilmembers Diane Harkey, Lisa Bartlett and Joel Bishop.

Lou's a great guy and would serve the city well. He would contribute to needed efforts for south county cities to work better together as well as better with regional issues.
