Dave Gilliard To Run Sheriff Hutchens' Election Campaign

As long as I had Sheriff Hutchens on the phone, I figured I'd find out the status of her election campaign.

"Have you hired a consultant?" I asked.

"Yes," Sheriff Hutchens replied. "We haven't signed a contract yet, but Dave Gilliard is going to be my consultant."

I commended her choice, and commented that the smart OC candidate serious about winning  is going to look to GBWA or Lewis Consulting Group.

Choosing Dave makes a lot of sense. GBWA has a terrific win record in OC, and swept all their Orange County races this June. Plus, Dave also played a role (according to Frank Mickadeit) in helping swing his client, Supervisor Janet Nguyen, into voting for Hutchens.

I asked if she had opened a campaign committee, and Hutchens said they were in the process of doing so.

I also took a run at getting the Sheriff to divulge who she'd selected for her command staff, but no dice. Sheriff Hutchens said she couldn't give me a preview when she hadn't yet given her command staff selections a preview.

Hopefully Dave will have a talk with Sheriff Hutchens as soon as possible and let her know that the 2nd Amendment is still in the US Constitution.
